What the...?
Aug. 16th, 2005 08:27 pmAnyone remember this post from the JM-fest in April? In particular, the part that went:
"So, having tentatively had my hand up for a good ten minutes, I heard that we were nearly out of time and didn't think I'd get called on, only to find myself with a microphone in my hand ready to ask the penultimate question... The question? 'If you'd known William's back-story before 'Fool For Love', would you have played Spike differently at the beginning?'"
Yes? Excellent.
Now, anyone got the September issue of 'Buffy/Angel' magazine yet? If you turn to pages 14 to 20, you'll find an interview with James Masters done by someone called Natalie Clubb. It's pretty standard stuff - Music, blah, blah, blah, Spike movie, blah, blah, blah... Right up until you get to the very last question:
"Finally, if you had always been aware of Spike's back-story, would you have played him differently in the beginning?"
Huh?!?
Now admittedly, it wasn't *my* intelligent and clearly theft-worthy question, that honour goes to
empty_mirrors, but still... I don't know whether to be indignant or flattered - on Josey's behalf, obviously! (And the interview *was* conducted just after he'd finished Collectormania, so it's a pretty good bet that the interviewer was in the Q&A audience.)
On the bright side though, this is now the second month in a row that I've appeared in the 'Buffy/Angel' magazine - check out the Common Rotation review in August's issue and you'll see me peeking out from the middle of the picture taken at the end of the gig!
[wonders if she could claim an appearance or consultation fee]
